How do you form the groups, and how will I know which group I will be in?
  • Candidly, the formation of placing members into groups is more of an “art” than “science.” Truth@Work has developed a specific 5-step process in placing new members into their groups. In cities where multiple Roundtable Groups exist, Truth@Work closely evaluates various aspects of placing members into groups.
  • Several factors go into the placement of new members into existing groups, including but not limited to:
    • Size and industry of the joining member
    • Spiritual maturity of the joining member and which group will be best for him/her
    • Business acumen of joining member and how that will fit into existing groups, etc.
    • “Personality” makeup of existing group and how new member would fit in with that group
  • While not perfect, Truth@Work enjoys an annual retention rate of 85% of its existing members. This is testimony that we take very seriously the process of placing new members into the right group.
  • As a new member, you can rest assured that the other members of your group have completed the same 5-step Qualification Process that you have, and that they are committed to the same level of participation in the program.

Who develops the content and curriculum of the meetings?
  • The Roundtable Program content and curriculum is developed by the staff of Truth@Work, as well as other leading experts and consultants in a wide variety of marketplace disciplines and expertise.
What types and sizes of companies are represented in the Roundtable Groups?
  • Members representing all sized companies and a wide variety of industries participate, ranging from sole proprietors, business owners, CEOs, Presidents, and Vice-Presidents of divisions of large multi-national companies, as well as Executive Directors in leading non-profit organizations.
  • Annual revenues of our membership range from a few hundred thousand dollars to hundreds of millions of dollars per year.
  • Number of employees range from sole proprietors to organizations with hundreds and even thousands of employees.
  • Dozens of industries are represented, ranging from professionals (doctors, attorneys, surgeons), manufacturing, retail, financial services, transportation and distribution, etc.
I have heard the Truth@Work Business/Executive Roundtable Program is an MBA certified program-is that true?
  • Through its partnership with Taylor University’s MBA Program, participants in a Truth@Work Roundtable Program can earn up to 25% of their MBA degree through Taylor University.
  • This is a very unique distinctive of our program, and it speaks to the level of credibility of the materials, content, and format of the Roundtable Group Program.
If Truth@Work focuses its efforts on Christian business owners, executive, and leaders, why is it a non-profit organization rather than a for-profit business?
  • From its very inception, the vision of Truth@Work has been that it would be a ministry with a national impact and footprint.
  • The founders of the organization understood that if God were to grow the organization to have a national membership with hundreds or perhaps even thousands of members, that database would be of high value and of strong interest to many individuals and companies across the country.
  • Imagine what some might be willing to pay for the ability to market programs and services to a large database of successful CEOs, Presidents, business owners and executives on a national basis? That could be worth millions of dollars.
  • So, in order to protect the integrity of the relationships with all Truth@Work members, the founders of Truth@Work determined it would be most appropriate that as founders of the organization that they would “own” nothing in it.
  • As a non-profit organization, the founders and staff of the organization cannot sell the membership base to any organization or individual, and do not have the ability to sell the organization, or any of its products, programs, and services.
  • The organization is accountable to a full and functioning Board of Directors, who maintain close watch over all aspects of Truth@Work.
  • It is our firm belief that this approach and structure allows Truth@Work to maintain the highest level of integrity in its relationships with its membership base.
If Truth@Work is a non-profit organization, why do you charge dues for members to participate?
  • Truth@Work charges a monthly “dues” fee structure in order to meet its operational costs and budgets, in order to sustain its high quality products, programs, and services.
  • It is helpful to think of the roundtable program “dues” along the lines of paying tuition for education at a Christian college or university, but in this case it is for participating in a Christ-centered, Biblically principled personal and professional development program.
  • Truth@Work offers programs and services based on value to its participants. By having a dues (fee) based structure, it allows Truth@Work to meet its operational and budget needs utilizing a sustainable model.
  • Many ministries focus a large percentage of their time on raising funds for ongoing operational sustainability. By having a fee structure attached to its programs, Truth@Work is able to maintain focus on the personal relationships with our participating members, while allowing us to fairly compensate our staff and our local Chapter Presidents for their efforts in serving roundtable group members.
Are all members in the roundtable groups committed Christians or are some still considered “seekers”?
  • We cannot know what is in the heart of any of our individual members, only they and God know the depth of their relationship and commitment to Him.
  • What we can say is that every participating member in our Roundtable Program has signed our Statement of Faith indicating their agreement to it and that they personally believe what it says.
  • While we are committed to encouraging and equipping our Roundtable Members to conduct outreach and ministry in and through their organizations, a big part of the “value proposition” of participating in the Roundtable Group Program is the ability for Members to receive “godly counsel” on their opportunities, challenges, and issues.
  • We believe that in order to give “godly counsel” to other Roundtable Group Members, each person must have the indwelling of The Holy Spirit through a personal relationship to God through Jesus Christ.
